A Note To Guys

I created this as a response to a friend's note that I was tagged in.

An original composition by Jovelean Borces.

NOTE TO GUYS! :)

Guys it is ok to ask us where we are. Honestly, it tickles us pink that you are concerned. But it pisses us off when every ten minutes we get asked the same question of "Where are you?" and "Who are you with?".

Also don't talk about your ex-girlfriends.
We don't want to know. Period!
Don't compare us to your ex-girlfriend because it really pisses us off. There's a reason why the "ex" comes first before the word girlfriend. She was PROBABLY a psycho bitch you had to dump.

Guys don't hump everything with a skirt.
Seriously, just because you don't get preggo and carry a fetus in your belly for NINE freakin' months does NOT give you the license to just put your stick in every hole that peeks.

Guys, we actually can sense when are being sincere or not. But, I personally don't want to be a femme apologist so I'll state it for the record, some women who deny a compliment are just really fishing for more.
So women, when you hear good words thrown your way, smile and say "Thank you!" with enthusiasm. Believe me, it sounds much better that way.

Chivalry is dead but I won't be complaining if its revived. I love a guy who does all of the things in paragraph four and more.

Carry breath mints. Don't expect us to throw random kisses when you just finished smoking two packs of cigarettes.

We dress up to look good basically for our selves and then for other women and then lastly for you. Women are mostly competing against each other in the looks department. Its a fact!

Don't flirt with girls when we are not around.
We'll find out. Trust us.
We have eyes everywhere. And gossip travels fast in the femme circle.
And when we find out, we're pissed.
Not necessarily with the girls you flirted with, although we'll curse them to death too, more-so with you.

Don't take everything we say seriously.
Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it.
Don't get angry easily.
Stop asking your male friends about us when they also do not have a clue.

Don't talk about how hot and gorgeous Megan Fox is or how perfect Jessica Alba's ass in front of us. WE KNOW!
And it also fuels the nasty eating disorders that destroy our psyche.
Beauty after all is not just about the body.

Whatever happened to the word "Beautiful" or "Pretty"?
Why does every thing have to be "hot/sexy"?
I'd be utterly shocked by a guy who has more descriptive words in his vocabulary to describe me. Instead of shouting out "Yo sexy hot momma!"
Not knowing more than those words to describe a female shows a severe lack of knowledge and a stunted vocabulary.

Guys, I cannot stress this enough: If you get yourself a good girl please take care of her. Don't parade her around like a piece of meat you wiggle in front of a dog. Be proud of her accomplishments and treat her right. Not every female is a psycho-bitch.

Find one who will honor your morals.
Someone who will also show you the different sides to life and offer new perspective.
Someone who can make you smile and make you feel good regardless of your bank statement.

A Reason, A Season or a Lifetime

A good friend of mine forwarded this to me recently. Although I am not in the habit of reading forwarded emails and spam (sorry dearest) as they usually end up in my trash bin even before I open them something urged me to click this particular email. (Call it divine intervention or whatever comes to mind) It didn't have fancy words in the title. That could have been one reason why I decided to open it.

I was pleasantly surprised when it contained nothing but plain text.
After reading I felt inspired to post it and share.
Someone out there might be experiencing the same mental roller-coaster I am on right now and the recycled wisdom of internet spam might just prove to be the answer they've been waiting for.

A Reason, A Season or a Lifetime
Author: Unknown

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Good-bye To "Love"?

You called me from your office asking how things are with me and how I've been. I have not heard from you for quite some time and hearing your voice again made me feel okay. But my intuition told me something's not right. This is just not right.

Then, you dropped the bomb and informed me you're already married and it has been three days into your honeymoon. I was shocked! How could you be calling me at 3 o'clock in the morning while your wife's gently sleeping?

Speechless!

Then you told me how "happy" you are now that you are settled. Sharing to me both your future plans and dreams. Yes, you are lucky with her I acknowledged. She's educated and plans to pursue more things with her career. You were asking me about Canada, as if I've ever been there. You want to migrate and start your family in the Maple Country, okay that's fine. It's a swell idea I said. They have free healthcare for their citizens.

Then, silence...

You were the first to break it. You asked me how I felt.

Numb.

I am actually genuinely happy for you now. You've always been the one more inclined to romance and settling down. I'm happy that you finally got your wish fulfilled.

You asked me if there's someone new. I gave you updates about me. Then you sighed.

"It could have been us." Were all the words you could utter.

Silence again...

Had I ever entertained the thought of even marrying you? You asked.
Yes. But I never thought you were serious. So I abandoned any idea of something deeper than our then relationship and just focused on the things that I were sure of. Work.

Now that you are married though, you have absolutely no right to even contact me just to reminisce about old times' sake or talk about your dreams nor mine.

You still keep my pictures you confessed. In fact you said you uploaded them on your new mobile phone. How could you?

I was mad at this. I told you to erase everything and forget all.

"No!" you said. You have the "right" to keep them.

I could no longer reason with you. Nor stand talking to you.

You've been married for 3 days and this is what you do!?! I thought you've moved on? Why contact me now? Why?

But instead of asking this aloud though it was better to disconnect that phone call.

We have each drawn our own lots and chosen different paths. Let's stick with it. Not just for our sake but for the people who love us. Talking about the past will do nothing but bring us pain. Really I'm okay now. I'm happy and also consciously trying to be.

Good-bye and may you be happy too.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!
